The Job Fair takes place Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 10 am to 4 pm at Hamilton's Careport Centre.

The morning session is reserved for students and recent alumni. The afternoon session, from 1 pm. to 4 pm., is open to the general public.
Spots are still available for employers who would like to advertise their job vacancies.

Employers: Make a positive difference in our community by completing the Hire Learning Survey
Workforce Planning Hamilton is collecting important local workforce data during the month of January.  If you are a local employer or Human Resources professional we need you to complete our survey.

We are collecting information on a variety of labour issues, such as labour turnover, hard-to-fill positions, recruitment difficulties and any current or future skill shortages your company may have.  The results will help Hamilton to strategize around skills shortages, gaps and mismatches.

Make a difference by completing our survey today. Thank you!

Ontario confidence adds to evidence of 2014 rebound for Canada
Ontario is expected to help lead a 2014 economic rebound in Canada due to growing consumer optimism and a large exporting manufacturing base. A recovering United States combined with a declining Canadian dollar contribute to the expected surge in manufacturing exports in Ontario. Ontario is home to 44% of Canada's manufacturing jobs.
