If you care about the future of workforce development in Hamilton you can make a real difference in our community by joining Workforce Planning Hamilton's Board of Directors.

We need your expertise to aid us in the important work that we do in the community.

In particular, people with a knowledge of Governance model Boards are encouraged to apply.

We presently have openings for Directors in the following categories:

  • Education
  • Immigrants/Visible Minorities
  • Persons with Disabilities
  • Women
  • Francophone

Hamilton's First Newcomer Day a Success!


Hamilton’s first Newcomer Day, on Friday, July 27/18 was a huge success, with approximately 1000 people attending.

Organized by the Hamilton Immigration Partnership Council (HIPC) the event took place at Hamilton City Hall and included the participation of over 70 volunteers, 30 service provider organizations, 35 new citizens and their families, and a dozen entertainers.

Guests enjoyed food, free workshops and lots of fun for all ages.

Workforce Planning Hamilton was proud to be part of the organizing committee for the event and to help out during the day.
