Dear Grace Family, 

My heart is overflowing with joy and happiness! I want to extend much thanks to all the girl scouts, parents, troop leaders, and neighbors who made Sunday a true day of God’s goodness! I must share the story of Sunday with you. Sunday was the day of preparing the Thanksgiving Boxes with the Girl Scouts from 1:30-3:00 pm. I knew I had to prepare early because I would have lots of girls coming to decorate the boxes. What I did not expect was the abundance of love, food, and joy that Grace in the Heights would receive that day! There were at least 7 troops here with their leaders and parents. The Fellowship Hall was filled with joyful chatter, smiles, and laughter! I saw former students from when I was the director of Grace Weekday School! We shared joyful memories of the girls when they were small! I was able to go back in time with Caroline, who just kept coming back to me to get guidance on what to do! I love that she still remembered that she could still seek me out for help! Another mom came, hugged me, and thanked me for taking care of her little one when she needed quick medical attention. She fondly remembered the teachers and the school for being so good to her baby. Sunday was a day filled with all the emotions! Some of the girls even went door to door in their neighborhoods to collect donations! So, the hands and feet of Christ are hard at work to make this project so successful! The girl scouts were able to make 63 boxes of food for the drive. A total of $600.00 was given cash from the troops! 41 gift cards for $10.00 were given to pass out with the boxes! Blessings to all who helped make this happen on Sunday! May you feel the love of Christ in sharing your abundance!  

Martha Mears and her team at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services also gave an amazing donation of food for the food drive, sweet treats for the youth group, and goodies for the seniors at Heights Tower! Her team continually supports Grace in the Heights! We are so blessed to have them as neighborhood partners in ministry! Thank you for always extending a helping hand.  

The drive continues for the Church and Grace Weekday School! We will continue to make more boxes for the food pantry. We will make as many as we can. Join us this Sunday after church to tour the food pantry, bless the food, and pray for our food pantry’s amazing team!
