“Can I preach in this?”

Something you likely never ask, but I ask myself it often. You may have your own version at times:

·       Should I wear this?

·       Does my hair look OK?

·       Am I prepared for what I’m about to do?

When we’re up in front of people preaching - or in your case maybe when you have a presentation to give at work or want to make a good impression on a date or look good at a party (or even at church!) – we wonder if the way we look and present ourselves is appropriate.

What if we asked ourselves something similar when it comes to the way we live?

This weekend in worship we are continuing our Epiphany sermon series, “Carry the Light.” After remembering our baptisms and reclaiming our identity in Christ last weekend, we are now asking if the world can see that light in us:

Am I living in a way that shines the light of Christ in me?

I’ve recorded another worship preview on Facebook that shares a way my mom used to encourage me in this kind of witness; take a look!

We’ll see you in worship.
