HAPPY HOLIDAYS

GOODBYE 2023, HELLO 2024!

2023 has been a busy year at BeConnected Support Services!

We opened a new children’s staffed home, providing respite for families; we developed our new Multiple Complex Needs Outreach program, and we fully returned to in-person and/or hybrid for all meetings, activities, and celebrations while we’ve continued to learn to live with Covid-19.

Can you believe that 2023 is almost over?

We are looking forward to carrying that momentum into 2024, as we gear up for our triennial accreditation survey with CARF International in the spring.

RECENT EVENTS

Annual Friends and Family Holiday Lunch

We had a fantastic time celebrating with friends and family at our annual holiday lunch including festive music and a visit from Santa!

SABF Holiday Party

Both our Victoria and Cowichan Valley Chapters gathered for a holiday party with music, lunch, and activities!

Nog and Cheer

Our Cowichan Valley office held an open house with music, snacks, and socializing last week! It was great to see you all!

Socks Drive

Each year our SOCKs campaign (Spirit of Community and Kindness) collects warm socks and small comfort items to distribute to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Thank you to everyone who was able to donate. We are currently in the process of filling the socks and will drop them off at the Rock Bay Landing Homeless shelter for those in need.

We are also continuing to collect new or gently used winter clothing items for the individuals we support experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Soup and Suds

Beginning January 3rd we will be launching our Soup and Suds / Wednesday Drop in for individuals in our Multiple Complex Needs program.

Annual Appreciation Gala

BeConnected personnel gathered for our annual Appreciation Gala in November! We celebrated employees and contractors for 5, 10, 15, 25, and 30 years of dedicated service.
