The Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center is proud to host a very special screening of BEA ARTHUR: “I’VE DONE EVERYTHING BUT PORN,” an intimate new documentary celebrating the extraordinary life, career and private character of one of America’s most beloved and distinctive performers.
Presented as part of an extremely limited theatrical release in only nine theaters across the United States, the film is built around a never-before-seen interview with Bea Arthur, allowing her to tell her remarkable story in her own unmistakable voice.
From her early years in New York theater and her Tony Award-winning performance in Mame to the groundbreaking Maude and her unforgettable portrayal of Dorothy Zbornak on The Golden Girls, the documentary explores the career of a woman who continually defied expectations.
Featuring conversations with colleagues and friends, the film also reveals another side of Bea Arthur: intelligent, sensitive, compassionate and deeply committed to the causes she championed, including her longtime support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Produced by Emmy Award-winner Dan Watt and Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning producer Daryl Roth, this is a rare opportunity to experience Bea Arthur's story on the big screen.
