Dear Beachwood Community,
Today, the Ohio Department of Education released its school report cards based on data from the 2022-2023 school year. Beachwood Schools’ earned a five-star rating, the highest possible, in every category evaluated on the report card. The District tied for 6th place in Ohio for Overall Rating Points, an indication of strong performance across all report card measures. Our students demonstrated significant improvement on almost every metric. We are proud of our students’ and staff’s efforts.
Key Indicators:
- Beachwood Schools’ performance index (PI) is 106.3, earning the state’s five-star rating and improving upon last year’s index
- The District PI was 97.7% of the Maximum Possible PI Score
- Beachwood High School’s PI improved from 97.5 to 103.5, a remarkable increase
- The District earned a five-star rating, the highest possible, for “Progress,” defined as demonstrating “significant evidence that the district exceeded student growth expectations”
- The District earned a five-star rating on Graduation Rate, which was 98.6% for the Class of 2023
- The District earned a five-star rating on the Early Literacy Component with 100% of third graders promoted to fourth grade
- Students identified as “gifted” across the district scored in the top 2% of all districts in Ohio
- The District demonstrated strong growth in ELA and Math scores for many populations that are measured distinctly, such as English Learners and various racial groups
