• Fireworks have been part of the celebration since the first anniversary in 1777.

• The Liberty Bell is tapped (not rung) 13 times every year in honor of the original colonies.

• Follow local safety guidelines for fireworks.
• Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
• Be mindful of pets-they may be sensitive to loud noises.
