"Hidden Blessings"
With Char Tarashanti

On his deathbed, Socrates exhorted his followers to practice dying as the highest form of wisdom. Most of us go to great lengths to ignore or deny the fact that we are going to die, but preparing for death is one of the most rational and rewarding acts of a lifetime. It is an exercise that gives us the opportunity to enter into a
new and vibrant relationship with life.

Leadership Lunch & Learn
Sunday, October 28th
11:30 am in the Beacon Kitchen

Join the Leadership Success Planning Team as we launch new efforts to provide leadership development for the congregation! We are starting with a leadership lunch and learn. We will talk about leadership paths and experiences within the congregation, as well as identify future leadership needs.

This will be a "chili potluck" experience - bring your favorite chili, cornbread, or toppings to share.

All are welcome - you don't have to be in a current leadership role to attend. Maybe you are thinking about getting more involved in the congregation and want to hear from others.

RSVP at http://evite.me/tFW2SCRvdg to let us know you are coming and what you would like to bring.

~ REI Building Project Update  ~

The demolition of the cottage will start as soon as we are able to get the permits from the city. The city is currently reviewing our permit application, and should let us know by early to the middle next week.

Once demolition starts, the area will be off limits and the back door will be used for an emergency exit only until the demolition is complete.

Also, just a reminder to please get your capital campaign pledges in so we can do as
much as we can before we have to take out a line of credit and start paying interest.
