The Egeria Bracelet design is an exclusive BeadSmith project. This design features motifs created with Kipos II Cymbals surrounding CzechMates Crescents, Matubo GemDuos, 3mm beads and seed beads. The designer, Barbara Lepak, used 11mm stainless steel circles to connect the motifs, but advises that you can use just about anything you like, whether it's beads or findings. I've done 3 variations, each with a different bracelet length, and the last version includes the cutest matching earrings!

For this colorway I chose to use Clima Cymbal Connectors to assemble the motifs into a bracelet. I also used two colors of Crescents and GemDuos, much like the colorway on the front page of the pattern.

I wanted this colorway to be much shorter than the 1st version, but I really liked the Clima bead connectors, so I decided to use 1/2 motifs on each end of the bracelet. Instead of connecting the other two Crescents and GemDuo bead, I added two 3mm beads, weaved the thread back through and added the clasp with three 15/0 seed beads, as seen in this photo.

I was curious to see what the bracelet would look like with no connector findings, just connecting the motifs with jump rings - so I used the thicker gauge (22mm) antique brass jump rings to connect 3 motifs for a 6-inch version of the bracelet before attaching the clasp. I also used 3mm pearls instead of 8/0 seed beads to complement the other colors in this colorway.

NOTE - the 22ga jump rings are too thick to work with the Clima connectors. The thinner 21ga jump rings work just fine, but aren't available in the antique brass finish.

I used the same method of 1/2 motifs, as in the 2nd colorway, to create super cute matching earrings for this 3rd colorway. Instead of attaching a clasp to the three seed beads between the pearls I've created a picot.
