HERITAGE NIGHT | SPONSOR A COUNTRY/BOOTH
Thursday, November 21
5:30-7:30 (RHS Cafeteria)
Come enjoy the food, activities, performances, and celebration of our beautifully diverse community. The festivities will be at Redmond High School on November 21, 5:30PM to 7:30PM. It's a great event for the whole family!
In case you've never been, Heritage night is an opportunity for families to learn about and celebrate countries from around the world. Each attendee will receive a passport when they enter, and their passport will be stamped by each country they "visit" at the event. The kids love learning about where their friends and classmates are from, and even trying new foods from around the world.
Please consider hosting a booth to showcase your family's heritage or country of origin. Sign up HERE
to host a booth, or to provide general help at the event. Please also let us know if you'd like to give a 5 to 10 minute performance highlighting your culture. If you want to represent and showcase your heritage, sign up now!
Important: Per the Health department anyone who is preparing food or serving it at the event must have a valid food worker card. Obtaining a food worker card costs $10, and requires a brief online training.
Click HERE for more information about the Food Worker card; Click HERE for the online training.

WSPTA ESSAY CONTEST
This statewide essay contest explores the important and varied influencers in the lives and education of children - from the children's perspective. Every day children are exposed to a variety of people and each one has an opportunity to influence the path a child decides to take. Whether it is someone that sparks an interest in a new topic, helps them work through a problem, shapes the kind of person they want to become by modeling behavior, simply listens to them, or any number of other actions, this is the platform for students to share their appreciation.
The application deadline is March 1.
You can learn more about the contest
