REDMOND MIDDLE SCHOOL Info Night
Tuesday 1/29 @ 6:30pm

Dear Parents,

On Tuesday, January 29th Redmond Middle School will be hosting a parent night for all current 5th graders who will be attending RMS next year.  This event starts at RMS at 6:30pm.  This will be a great chance to see and tour Redmond Middle, meet the administration and counseling staff, and have any questions answered for you. This evening is geared toward parents only. RMS counselors will be visiting the 5th grade classrooms in early February to register students for their middle school classes.

Our 5th grade students will be visiting Redmond Middle this spring for an orientation activity. The student leadership at RMS has put together a wonderful formal program that includes student lead tours, Q & A with a student panel, and fun games and trivia. They too will be able to meet the admin, counselors, and some of the 6th grade teachers. This event is scheduled for June 13, 2019.  More information will come later for this event.

There is a prize for the winning grade, so collect lots of Box Tops from your pantry,

PTA MEN'S ESSAY CONTEST
Men Making a Difference
deadline is March 1

This statewide essay contest explores the important and varied contributions that men make in the lives and education of children - from the children's perspective.

All men involved in a child's life - fathers, uncles, grandfathers, brothers, step-fathers, mentors, neighbors, pastors, coaches, and friends - impact the children they care about. Research clearly shows that male involvement positively influences academic success at all levels of schooling - preschool through college. When male figures are involved with students' schooling, they enjoy school more and perform better in and out of school.

You can find out more about the contest (including guidelines and grade-level entry forms  here.

The application deadline is March 1st .
