Required Events

While we encourage you to explore many of the various offerings throughout Winter Welcome, certain events are required.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 11 you are required to attend Meet Your Transfer & Exchange Student Mentor at 10:00 AM. Following this small group meeting, everyone is expected to attend the Welcome Lunch in Umrath Lounge from Noon - 1:30 PM.

International students are required to attend the Office for International Student Engagement Welcome & Immigration Essentials session at 1:30 PM.

TXSM Group Chat

You should have received communication from your Transfer & Exchange Student Mentors (TXSM) about joining a Teams group chat. Please make sure you join the chat so you can receive important messages and reminders from your TXSM. We encourage you to download the app and turn notifications on.

Religious, Spiritual, & Ethical Life

Religious, Spiritual, & Ethical Life is here to support students of any and no religious or spiritual background. You can various religious and spiritual observances occurring during Winter Welcome and the first week of classes using the Winter Welcome Religious Event Schedule. For information on a specific community or organization, complete the request form. Reach out to Rev. Callista Isabelle for additional questions or conversation.

Make sure you have accomplished the following items from the Before You Arrive Checklists. The items below had a deadline of December 31. If you have not completed one or more of these items, please do so ASAP. 

• Submit immunization records and health history information to the Student Health Portal.  
• Apply for your WashU ID Card.  
• You can pick up your ID card at Campus Card Services in the Women's Building between 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
