RMS PTSA Election Results
Elections for the 2018-2019 school year were held at the PTSA General Meeting on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018. The incoming Executive Board is as follows:
  • Co-presidents: Ashley Epstein and Laura Drover
  • 1st Vice President (Volunteers)Stacy Hatch 
  • 2nd Vice President (Communications)Sujatha Patra
  • SecretaryManjari Kanungo
  • TreasurerChristine Li 
The new board which includes the Drama, Emergency Prep, Family & Community Advocacy, Legislative Advocacy, & Membership chairs takes office on July 1st, 2018. If you're interested in any committee position (including the board committees) next year please contact [email protected] .

Congratulations and Thank You to Our Outstanding Community Members
Redmond Middle School is graced with a number of highly active volunteers and staff and we thank each and every one of you!  At the recent PTSA meeting, we also recognized several parents, faculty and staff with awards for all that they do to make RMS a stronger and better community. Congratulations to all recipients!

Given to individuals who have done an exceptional job on a task or committee.

Special Needs Group March Meeting on Tuesday
What: The Special Needs Group's March meeting
When: Tuesday, May 15th - Coffee at 6:30 p.m., Meeting begins at 7 p.m.
Where: LWSD Resource Center in Redmond Town Center
Details: Mendi Carroll, Sheldon Sweeney and Zack AhYat will walk us through the foundations financial and legal planning for families with children receiving special education and accommodations. 

CELEBRATING RMS
Congratulations to the RMS Symphonic Band!
The RMS Symphonic Band attended the recent WorldStrides Heritage Festival in Seattle on April 27th.  They were adjudicated by three college-level adjudicators and earned a Gold Award, the top award presented. Nicholas Yoon was presented with an Ovation Award and Outstanding Musicianship AwardCongratulations to Nicholas Yoon and everyone in the Symphonic Band!

Bear Tracks Weekly is RMS PTSA's electronic newsletter, sent each Monday to RMS families and staff via e-mail. You DO NOT need to be a PTSA member to subscribe to Bear Tracks, it is FREE to all families and staff in the Redmond Middle School community.
