RHS Sports Seasons for Rising 9th Graders 
For those RMS students attending Redmond High School in the Fall, here are the Fall Sports Summer practice schedules.

Boys Tennis 
Aug 20th - 24th 10:00 - 12:00 pm
Aug 27th - 31st JV 2:45 - 4:15pm,  Varsity 3:30 - 5:00 pm

Girls Soccer
First Summer Practice: Monday, June 25th 9:30 - 11:30 am at RHS Field.
Tryouts Start: Monday, Aug 20th 5:00 - 7:00 pm at RHS Field.
Program Retreat: Aug 25th - 27th at Bellingham.

Volleyball 
Monday, Aug 20th: Tryouts 4:00 - 7:00PM
Tuesday, Aug 21st: Tryouts 4:00 - 7:00PM
Aug 22th through the end of the season regular "after school" practice times. Exact practice times are not yet confirmed for all teams but will be in the window of 3:30 - 6:30pm.

Cross Country
Beginning on July 5th, we will practice from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Hartman Park (meeting near the Big Toy) on Mondays and Thursdays, and we will meet from 9:00 -11:00 am on Saturdays at the Redmond Watershed (Novelty Hill entrance@ the restrooms.) This will continue through the summer until practice begins on Aug. 20th. The only exception is no practice on Monday, August 6th.

Slow-pitch Softball
The first day of practice for slow-pitch will be Tuesday, Sep 4th. There are no summer practices.

Girls Swim & Dive
August 20th - 31st 2:30 - 5:00 pm at the Redmond pool

Washington Student Achievement Council
June 30th  is the deadline to apply for the College Bound Scholarship for 8th grade students. The scholarship is a state financial aid program designed to provide income eligible students the state financial aid to cover the cost of tuition at public college rates, some fees and a small book allowance. Students can use the scholarship at over 60 colleges across Washington. 
 
If you have started an application, it is considered complete when the student and parent sign and verify income on a Missing Information Letter (MIL). These letters are yellow forms that are mailed home, or sent home by the school and must be completed before students begin 9th grade.

Middle school sport seasons are changing for the 2018-19 school year so there will be at least one sport every season for every gender and every grade.

STAY UP-TO-DATE WITH RMS NEWS! 

Bear Tracks Weekly is RMS PTSA's electronic newsletter, sent each Monday to RMS families and staff via e-mail. You DO NOT need to be a PTSA member to subscribe to Bear Tracks, it is FREE to all families and staff in the Redmond Middle School community.
 

Submissions from the school and community should be sent to [email protected] by 5pm on Thursday for publication the following Monday.  Bear Tracks weekly newsletter is edited by Sara Buckley.
