Snuggery Donations Needed (Repeat)

The Snuggery is running low on supplies and is need of donations from you, the RMS community. Read more about the Snuggery! Donations can be dropped in the main office during school hours by students or family members. The current greatest need is snacks for during the school day. Thank you for your donations!

Suggested Donations * Granola bars (nut free varieties as well) * Apple sauce pouches * Individual servings of trail mix * Raisins * Individual bags of goldfish * Peanut butter crackers/cheddar crackers * Cracker/cheese packages * Individual serving packs of crackers  * Fruit snacks

Math Club News

On Friday, February 7, RMS Math Club went to Liberty High School to participate in Math Is Cool Seattle Region competition. They brought home the following awards: 6th Grade Team:  6th place 7th Grade Team:  2nd place 8th Grade Team:  1st place 6th Grade Individuals: 16th place 7th Grade (Algebra I) Individuals: 6th place, 11th place 8th Grade (Geometry) Individuals: 5th place, 8th place, 9th place All 3 grade level RMS math teams are invited to Math Is Cool Masters competition which is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 in Moses Lake.  Congratulations to RMS Math Club students!

FACE Parent Education: "How to Motivate Your Kids" (Repeat)

RMS PTSA FACE (Family and Community Engagement) presents " How to Motivate Your Kids By Figuring Out Who They Are " on Thursday, February 27, 6:30-8:00 PM in the RMS Commons. This program is presented by Speaker Barbie Young. Learn about different personality types and what does and does not work in motivating them.

PTSA Membership Meeting on Feb. 25 (Repeat)

Please join us for the PTSA Membership Meeting on Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 PM in the RMS Library . Come learn more about what the PTSA is doing for your students at RMS and hear about upcoming PTSA events. Want to get on the agenda? Email secretary@rmsptsa.org . We look forward to seeing everyone! The RMS PTSA is going  green ! Instead of printing paper, we will electronically display meeting-related documents to reduce our environmental impact. We encourage you to do your part by bringing your reusable water bottle for the evening!

6th Grade Musical Information (Repeat)

Calling all 6th Graders! RMS PTSA Drama would like to invite all 6th graders to be in our next musical - "The Lion King, Jr", to be performed on Saturday, May 16. 6th-8th graders are welcome to sign-up as part of our crew, too. Submit Entries for the NEW RMS Art Magazine! (Repeat)

Submit entries for the RMS art magazine! Students will be able to submit a variety of arts including: essays, pictures of artwork, photos of sculptures, short stories, and more! Be aware that written submissions should be no more than 2 pages long. View all magazine guidelines . You can request anonymity if wished. A free copy of the magazine to anyone who submits! Be aware that EDITORS CAN VETO any entries that do not follow guidelines. Submit online using  this form .  This form is also located on the Library PowerSchool page.

Special Education Fair (Repeat)

The LWPTSA Special Education Fair will take place on Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 PM in LWRC. Come check out and talk to vendors offering after school, summer, and other recreational activities and other services to students on IEPs, 504s and IHPs, and their families.  Children welcome. Persons who anticipate needing accommodations may email specialeducation@lwptsa.net in advance of the event. View the flyer for more information.

WSPTA Essay Contest (Repeat)

This statewide essay contest explores the important and varied influencers in the lives and education of children – from the children’s perspective. The essay contest is a platform for students to share their appreciation. The contest is open to all students in grades K-12. The application deadline is Sunday, March 1.
