Green Tip: Don't Idle (Repeat)
|
|
Do you wait for your students after school with your car on? Vehicle exhaust is the leading source of toxic air pollution in the state of Washington.
Idling cars produce 20 times more pollution
than driving at 30mph. Our children are especially at risk for health effects, because they breathe faster than adults.
If you're parked, TURN IT OFF!
It's winter time! If you get cold in your car, put on a coat or keep a blanket for extra warmth. Go to
ITurnItOff.com
for more eye-opening information about what happens when cars are kept idling.
