End of First Semester
Due to school snow closures last week, LWSD has adjusted the end of Semester 1 for all middle and high schools. LWSD has moved the end of Semester 1 from January 24 to January 28. Grades are now due at midnight on February 5. Report cards will be mailed home beginning February 6. Each school will adjust their end of semester activities and finals schedule as necessary.
2nd Semester Class Fees and Fines (Repeat)
Electives Class Fees : 2nd semester class fees will be available for payment ONLINE starting Sunday, February 2. To avoid lines and missing class time, please pay for your fees/fines online . Please note if not paid by Monday, March 2, elective class fees will become a fine. Fines/fees will remain in student’s account throughout high school.

Do you need a PE/Fitness Shirt : Please purchase online to receive your PE Shirt on the first day of the 2nd semester and to avoid long lines and being tardy to class. PE teachers will receive a list of students who paid online for their PE/Fitness shirts.

RMS Musical: Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 (Repeat)
Come see RMS 7th and 8th graders perform " The Music Man Jr. " at RHS Performing Arts Center.

The Music Man Jr. is a 90-minute show that is fun and appropriate for all ages and features some of musical theater’s most iconic songs. The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize.  His plans to skip town with their cash are foiled when he falls for the town librarian, Marian, w hose belief in Harold’s power just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.

Showtimes are Friday, January 31 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, February 1 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Get your tickets online now or buy them at the door.

Science Club YBTC Update (Repeat)
YBTC announced that each school will have three teams to be advancing to regionals. Congratulations to the top RMS three teams: Team #5, #2, & #1 ( see school level competition results ). The regional event will take place on March 1 at Open Window School. For more info and participation requirements, please view the detailed page .
Spring Clean Early and Donate
Are you doing some early spring cleaning and finding clothes and shoes that don't fit your students anymore? Donate used clothing and shoes to the USAgain bin in the parking lot by the portables and support ASB at the same time! Also, help fight the climate crisis by reducing textile production pollution and every time the bin is full, a tree is planted!
LWSD Career Fair

LWPTSA Scholarships Available
The Lake Washington PTSA Council is pleased to roll out its 2020 Scholarship Program! Each year in the spring, Council offers several student scholarships and two $500 staff scholarships. This year’s Student Scholarship Program will include 13 scholarships of $1,250 each for differing focuses. Student applications and certificated staff applications for scholarships are due by 12:00 PM noon on April 2, 2020. For more information, contact .
