Remote Learning Grading Update
LWSD grading has been updated for this semester and is based on the new information districts have received from the state OSPI.

At the MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL , grades for assignments and assessments will be used to determine if students have met overall proficiency of essential standards for the semester and pass courses. Final grades for students will be a Pass (P) or No Pass (N). Students who receive a grade of D or higher for the semester will be assigned a “P” on the report card. The high school grading system will be used for high school credit courses that are taken in the middle school (Algebra, Geometry, and World Languages).

For complete information, including elementary level and high school grading system, please visit the May 5 update on the LWSD Coronavirus website .
May 22 is Now a Regular School Day
Friday, May 22 was previously scheduled to be a non-student LEAP Day for staff. Because of the changes to remote learning, LWSD will now have a regular remote-learning day on May 22. May 25 is still a scheduled holiday in observance of Memorial Day.
LWSD Announcements by Text Message
Text the letter “Y” to the number 67587 to receive LWSD announcements via text message. If your phone number is already on file at your child’s school, or in Skyward for staff members, this text will confirm that you want to receive text messages on your cell phone. LWSD cannot text you important updates unless you have confirmed that you want to receive these messages. If you aren’t sure what phone numbers are on file, visit your Skyward Family Access account , then go to “Skylert” to see the list of phone numbers and email addresses we use to contact you.
Restart School Laptops
Due to LWSD working to fix remote access capacity on March 31, devices need to be restarted and should then be able to connect to the District once again if experiencing issues. If after a restart your device still experiences an issue, please contact ftaccess@lwsd.org for support.
