This is a reminder that we have now added an activity bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in addition to our Wednesday bus, for our students who stay late after school to get help with their homework. Further, we have added more stops so we can include more students. Study Lab en Español

PTSA Member Vote Regarding Marquee Sign Funding

Based on the interest expressed by our parents, PTSA (FACE) is happy to bring to RMS a Parent education presentation about internet safety. Our kids are digital natives which means that they’ve never known a world without technology at their fingertips. The internet is a powerful learning and social tool, but it can expose our kids to mature information and dangerous people. Parents need to have a plan on how to regulate their children on using the internet safely and responsibly. We will discuss ways to keep our children safe online, to limit and monitor internet use, and to teach responsible internet behavior.

EVENT BEGINS AT 6:30 SHARP! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and light refreshments will be provided.

We will also be briefly discussing and voting on funding options for the currently inoperable marquee sign in the front of the school.

The Grizzlies will be Munchkins and Lions and Flying Monkeys and many other fantastic creatures this January in Oz! The Musical!

Local Business Owners: While the audience is being mesmerized by the show, you can also get those eyes on your business if you advertise in the Oz! the Musical Program! There will be 4 shows January 17, 18 and 2 on January 19, 2019! This is great exposure for your business.

Parents: If your own Grizzly is in the Musical you could also put in a Parent Shout Out with well wishes for them!

Members should have received their directories via kid mail last week. If you haven't received yours, please check with your student first and then inquire with membership@rmsptsa.org as to the status of your copy.

'The Snuggery'- RMS Initiative for students in need

Redmond Middle School is creating a food pantry/clothing closet for students in need of these extra resources during the school day or at home during the week. They have dubbed this room “The Snuggery”.

The Snuggery is scheduled to open in November, but first we need to stock it with non-perishable food items and gently used (or new) clothing.

Redmond Middle School has asked us members if they'd like to help contribute to this initiative by donating items below so that they're available all throughout the year. Read More..

Are you ready for inclement weather?

When emergency conditions such as snow and ice or windstorms result in school schedule changes, the district will notify families directly through our SchoolMessenger automated phone system. You can learn how to know when school is delayed or cancelled on the School Closures and Late Starts page of the district website. Families with students who ride the bus should watch their mail for a postcard with information about their bad weather bus route. Want to make sure you receive alerts about school closures right away? Sign up on flashalert.net to be notified about the latest school delay and school closure news from LWSD.

LWPTSA - Scholarship Basket Auction 2018

The LWPTSA Council cordially invites you to our 2018 Scholarship Basket Auction on Thursday, December 6 from 10-11 am at the LWSD Resource Center in Redmond. Auction baskets are currently on display in the Resource Center, and you can bid now - all of the proceeds go to scholarships. Bid on a lunch with our new superintendent, Dr. Jane Stavem! We have several spa and beauty experiences this year and lots of items by local artists and homegrown businesses - some well established like the Pro Club and Salish Lodge. Bidding must be done in person, although you can view the baskets here .The morning of December 6 we host a festive event with complimentary coffee drinks, fantastic raffle items and a door prize for people who have invited and brought a friend! Do some holiday shopping, or just enjoy mingling with other people who value and support education. You don't have to be present to win, so swing by the district headquarters and bid when you are at Redmond Town Center. If you have questions, email auction@lwptsa.net .
