St. Monica Destination Imagination Teams competed last Saturday in the Texas State Tournament, which featured 496 teams from all over the state! Both teams earned a place at the State tournament by placing first in the Dallas Regional Tournament.

Our 6th grade team competed in the Scientific Challenge and placed in the Top 11 in the State! Congratulations to: Gus, Luke, Kellen, Kaden, Evan, Michael, and Owen…. And team manager, Mrs. Stojak

Our 8th grade team competed in the Improv Challenge and placed 5th in the State! They will advance to the International Competition in Kansas City. Congratulations to: Lainey, Amerie, Ava, Avery, Alejandra, Bella, and Sydney… And team manager, Mrs. Cazares!

Council Applications

The St. Monica School Advisory Council (SAC) is accepting applications for the upcoming school year. New SAC Members will serve a three-year term starting in June 2025. If you are interested in serving the St. Monica Community as part of the School Advisory Council, please complete an application. All applications are due by Monday, April 14, 2025.

KofC Council 5656 Scholarships

The Knights of Columbus St. Monica Council 5656 has established a scholarship program to promote Catholic identity and community service in line with the Knights of Columbus’ principles of Faith, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

 The Council will award scholarships in the following categories:

· St. Monica Catholic School (Attend St. Monica Catholic School) 

· High School (Attend a Catholic High School in the Diocese of Dallas)

· College (Attend a community college, technical/trade school, college, or university in the United States)

Applications are due by Friday, April 22,

Cheer Camp - April 10th

Details of the Cheer Camp:

• Dates: April 3rd and April 10th
• Time: 4:00-6:00 PM
• Location: St. Monica Large Gym
• Cost: FREE!
• Who can attend: All girls in 4th-7th grade are welcome!
• What to bring: Comfortable athletic wear, sneakers, and a water bottle.

Our cheer coaches will teach essential cheerleading skills such as stunting, tumbling, jumps, and cheers in a positive and encouraging environment. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new and have a blast with other girls interested in cheer.
