Thank you for an amazing Catholic Schools Week! We loved seeing all the parents at lunchtime and the beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Mrs. Garza. A huge shoutout to the PTO for organizing all these wonderful activities, the amazing staff luncheon, and of course all our fabulous volunteers. Our community is what truly makes St. Monica such a special place.

Congratulations to our St. Monica Destination Imagination Teams

They competed in the Dallas Regional Tournament last weekend with hundreds of DISD and private school student teams.

Our Second Grade Team, DI Girls, competed in the Service Challenge and earned 5th

place! Finley M., Evan M., Celia K., Nola A., Annie H., Jillian J., Olivia C., and team manager Kate Meacham.

Our 6th grade team, Radioactive Dugles, competed in the Scientific Challenge and placed

1st, AND 1st in the Instant Challenge competition as well!

Kaden L, Kellen H., Gus P., Evan L., Michael S., Owen A., Luke M., and team manager,

Jennifer Stojak.

AND

Our 8th grade team, 7 Wonders of the World, competed in the Improv Challenge, and

placed 1st! Ava P., Lainey C., Alejandra K., Bella K., Sydney S., Avery G., Amerie E., and team manager, Jessica Cazarres!!

The 6th and 8th grade teams will be advancing to the STATE Tournament at UTA

on March 29th. Congratulations to all!

St. Monica Endowment Trust Scholarships Are Open

The St. Monica Endowment Trust offers numerous scholarships each year to current and newly admitted students. Scholarships are awarded based on Financial Need, Academic Standing, Community Service, Fine Arts (Visual and Performing Arts), and STEAM. Scholarship applications and all supporting documents are due by

The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund

The Catholic Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for The Jethsuby Scholarship Fund for the 2025-2026 school year. The fund will provide scholarships of up to 50% of the in-parish tuition rate, depending on financial need, to Hispanic students attending or planning to attend a Catholic elementary school in the Diocese of Dallas.

Eligibility requirements for the award include:

Hispanic ethnicity and at least one parent must have been born outside the United States
For students entering 1^st through 8^th grade
Excellent academic performance.
Demonstrable financial need. (FACTS)
The student is not receiving financial aid from any other source, such as a diocesan scholarship, or a parish/staff tuition discount.
