Head Lice Notice and Prevention
We want to make families aware that a few cases of head lice have been reported in our classrooms. Please take a few moments to check your child for any signs of lice or nits. If you do discover any, we ask that you notify the school nurse or office so we can take steps to help prevent further spread.
At school, we are taking extra precautions, bagging plush items, reminding students not to share jackets, hats, or hairbrushes, rolling up classroom carpets, and conducting lice checks where needed.
We also need your partnership at home. Head lice can happen to anyone and are not a sign of poor hygiene. They spread mainly through shared personal items such as hats, brushes, or bedding.
To help prevent the spread, students should not bring stuffed animals to school, including Labubus, plush keychains, or similar items, effective immediately.
Thank you for your understanding and teamwork in keeping our community healthy.
