St. Monica Catholic School Leadership Announcement

Join us in welcoming Mrs. Kathy Ehring as our new Assistant Principal for grades

K-8. During the implementation stage of our new President/Principal model, an additional leadership position was budgeted to support the academic programs for our students.

The decision of what this position would entail was left to the new President. Upon Mrs. Trudell’s arrival, analysis was done on the needs and it was determined with Father Guadagnoli’s support, a new Assistant principal would be hired for this budgeted leadership role. Mrs. Ehring brings a wealth of leadership experience in Catholic schools having worked as both a Principal and Assistant Principal. We look forward to her support of Mrs. Shields' academic vision for our school.

Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 4th at 6PM

Please join us as we ask the intercession of St. Francis of Assi for a "Blessing of the Animals". This year will be a drive-by blessing. Please enter on Midway and circle around to Walnut Hill.

COVID-19 UPDATES

Attendance Policy Update for COVID-19

* If a student has a temperature of 100 or greater and/or symptoms of illness, the student and siblings must remain at home until the student is fever-free without medication and/or symptoms have improved.These students can be given assignments, but will not need to be placed on a virtual learning platform.

If fever and/or symptoms persist more than 24 hours, parents will be informed that a doctor's note is needed to return to class.

* If students have or have been exposed to COVID, they are to stay home either on isolation protocol (has COVID and must be out for at least 10 days) or on quarantine protocol (has been exposed to COVID and must be out for at least 14 days). In this case the student will be placed on a virtual learning platform.

If you answer YES to any of the survey questions or have a temperature of 100 or more, keep your children home even if only one of them is ill. Then contact an administrator or the nurse for Return to School Instructions.

Flu Shots

We recommend that all students and parents get flu shots as soon as possible. Please try to schedule at the end of the week or on a weekend knowing that some may run a low grade fever after receiving the shot.

Virtual Back To School Nights

There have been some date changes for Back to School Nights. Please check the calendar for dates and times. Teachers will send out Zoom links.

Carpool Reminder

Please make sure you are not blocking intersections

while you are in the carpool line.

It makes it difficult for people living in the neighborhood to get out.
