The Iowa Assessments (IA) and the CogAT Ability Tests
will be administered to all students at St. Monica in grades 1-8 from Monday through Friday, October 10-14. During these five days, quiet time will be observed throughout the campus from 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM. No visitors will be allowed in the building or classrooms during these hours.
Students should arrive at school by 7:45AM during these five days.
Testing will begin promptly at 8:05AM each day.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Teachers will be sending links and you will schedule through
FACTS (District Code: SMSD-TX).
Conferences can be scheduled on
Friday, Oct. 14th (half day), and
Monday, Oct. 17th (no school).

Reminder: Autumnfest is a public event and community members not typically on campus will be enjoying the event with us. While we do have safety parameters in place (fencing, police officers), you are responsible for your own child's safety as you would be at any other public event.
SAFETY SUGGESTIONS
- In case they get lost, they can:
- Find an adult in a yellow shirt (volunteer) with walkie talkies
- Go to the school nurse's office
- Find a police officer
- Create the 'inflatable man' on the football field as a meeting spot
- Write your phone number in sharpie on their game wristband or on painter's tape on the back of their shirt
- Pack glow necklaces in your child's Autumnfest string bag to use when it gets dark

Autumnfest Spirit Dress Day
Friday, October 14th
Students will be allowed to wear jeans, school slacks, school skirt/jumper, or school shorts with an Autumnfest t-shirt. Students may wear any closed-toe and closed-heel shoes that they choose with white socks with or without logos.
T-shirts will come home with students on or before Thursday, October 13th.

Dress Code
2nd Quarter begins on October 10th. Please review the dress code to ensure your children's uniforms meet the standard. This includes fleece jackets, haircuts, jewelry, etc. There will be a grace period during testing week. Enforcement begins
