All School Mass (K-8): Friday, August 15th,

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Our All School Mass will be at 9:15AM since this is a Holy Day of Obligation.

Dress uniform is required.

K-2 Girls: White Peter Pan blouse, St. Monica jumper, uniform socks & shoes

3-4 Girls: Oxford shirt w/logo, St. Monica jumper, uniform socks & shoes

K-5 Boys: Oxford shirt w/logo, Khaki shorts or pants w/belt (except for Kinder),

uniform socks & shoes

5-8 Girls: Oxford shirt w/logo or navy fitted blouse w/ logo, St. Monica skirt,

uniform socks & shoes

6-8 Boys: Oxford shirt w/logo, Tie (8th grade only), Khaki pants w/belt,

uniform socks & shoes

Lunch Accounts

Families with a new K-8 student need to set up a lunch account if your student plans to purchase lunch. All Kindergarten students who plan to purchase lunch will need to set up accounts.

Lunch/Recess Volunteers Needed

For the 2025-2026 school year, each grade level must cover Lunch/Recess Duty for one month. You must have a current Safe Environment badge to volunteer. We have 5 slots per day, so volunteers can divide between the Cafeteria and the Playground.

Safe Environment Training

It is required for any volunteer to be on campus. If you have not done Safe Environment training at St. Monica, now is a great time to start the process. If you have not completed Safe Environment training at St. Monica, then you will be considered a new volunteer.

Renewals can be completed online before the start of school.

If you have received an email that your badge is ready, you may stop by the church office between 9AM-5PM to pick up your badge.

Parent Safe Environment badges may be picked up at the front desk in McManus beginning Tuesday, August 12th.

Carpool Guidelines

Please note the change in dismissal time for 4th grade this year.

Inclement weather carpool will be in effect on Monday, August 11th, and Tuesday, August 12th. Walkers and bike riders may begin on Wednesday, August 13th, weather permitting.

Dismissal Times:

Pre-K - 2:50PM

K-3 - 3:10PM

4-8 - 3:25PM


  • Pre-K: The carpool process remains the same whether it is inclement weather or regular weather. Ensure your carpool sign is visible for pick-up.
  • K-8 Carpool: Inclement Weather - All K-8 students must be picked up through the carpool line. Ensure your carpool sign is visible for pick-up.
  • K-8 Carpool: Regular Weather - Carpool signs are not required, but recommended to keep in your vehicle.
  • Be patient, as the carpool process may take longer during the first few days of school. Recommended arrival times for pick-up are as follows:
  • Pre-K: No earlier than 2:40 PM
  • K-3: No earlier than 3:00 PM
  • 4-8: No earlier than 3:20 PM
  • Reminder for K-8: Pick-up times are based on your oldest child's dismissal time. Arriving too early may require you to drive around and re-enter the line to avoid backups.

K-8th Walker Form

If you plan to have your child walk across the street to Walnut Hill Park, please complete the Walker Form on the "Parents" tab under carpool. If you plan to have your child walk on Wednesday, August 13th, your form must be completed no later than 11:59PM on Sunday, August 10th.

  • Please let homeroom teachers know if there are days your children will not be walking.
  • Please let your children know if a sibling will not be walking with them due to after-school activities.
  • A Walker Form must be completed even if they are just going home with a friend who is a walker.
  • K-3 walkers without older siblings will be dismissed with K-3 carpool
  • 4-8 & those waiting for older siblings will be dismissed with carpool for 4-8

Bearcat Bots

The robotics club aims to instill STEM education through hands-on Robotics experience. The study of Robotics will incorporate three pillars of STEM: Think (think of ideas on how to design a robot efficiently)Do (build a robot & operate), and Test 

(test solutions and compete).

Chess Club (K-8)

We are excited to begin registration for this year’s chess program for Fall 2025. The Knight School will be leading St. Monica’s chess team this year. Our SMS students will be learning the royal game and enjoying themselves!
