Crutchfield Cougars and Dillingham Lions are seeing a new addition on their campus: a book vending machine! The vending machines promote reading and reward students for positive behavior and growth through free books. Both vending machines were made possible through grants from the Sherman Education Foundation.

SHS Seniors Take Texoma Promise Pledge

For Free Tuition

Sherman High School seniors have an opportunity to take the Texoma Promise pledge, which can offer many students free tuition at partnering colleges and universities if they meet certain income requirements.

SHS Bearcat Band Competes At Area

Marching Competition

Our Bearcat Marching Band put on a show that was out of this world this past weekend! After a long rain delay on Saturday, the Sherman High School band took to the field to perform “Alienated” at the Area Marching Band Competition in Melissa. Their season closed out there, but it’s been a great marching season for the band, and they’re already looking forward to next year!

Dillingham Lions See Inside Bearcat Stadium

On Fabulous Field Trip

K-3 Graders from Dillingham Elementary School went on a Fabulous Field Trip to Bearcat Stadium this morning where they got to take a tour and observe as our grounds crew prepared the field for tomorrow’s football game!

Sherman Fifth Graders Attend

Educational Orchestra Concert

Sherman ISD fifth graders experienced an orchestra concert first-hand this morning as the Sherman Symphony Orchestra hosted its 22nd Children's Educational Concert. Concertgoers learned about the different families of instruments, and a few students even had the opportunity to conduct the orchestra. The concert was capped off by an audience sing-along led in part by Erica Romm, a Sherman High School alumna who attended a Children's Concert in the past! Thank you to the SSO for the unique opportunity to instill a love and ear for music in our students each year!

Don’t Miss Senior Night On Friday!

Senior Night for football, cheer and athletic trainers is Friday night! Let’s honor our seniors and the hard work and leadership they’ve shown throughout the season! Activities start at 6:30 p.m.

SHS Golf Teams Medal At Burleson Tournament

The SHS varsity golf teams had a fantastic outing at the Burleson Elks Tournament on Wednesday! Both the boys and girls placed third overall. For the boys, senior Tanner Carter placed third as an individual, and for the girls, Charlize Yang took home the individual tournament championship. This is Charlize’s second fall individual tournament championship. Congratulations, Bearcat golfers!

Piner, SMS Face Off In A Battle of the Bearcats

The Piner Middle School and Sherman Middle School football teams clashed on a cold Monday night in the last game of their seasons. Piner won both games, but the next time some of these athletes take the field, they’ll be playing together at Sherman High School! It’s great seeing our young talent in action!
