News and Updates

Saturday is the Last Day to Vote!

Tuesday marked the end of early voting in the Sherman ISD bond and School Board election. If you haven’t voted yet, make plans to do so this Saturday, May 6! Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Click here to see voting locations.

Voters will see two (2) propositions on the ballot labeled “PROPOSITION A” and “PROPOSITION B.” Voters may vote on BOTH propositions; you DO NOT have to choose between the two.

Each proposition will include the phrase "This is a property tax increase." This language is a state requirement, even if there is a zero tax rate increase. The 2023 Sherman ISD bond will not raise the tax rate. Visit www.shermanisd.net/bond or watch our video to learn more.

In-Person Registration Assistance Available

Parents and guardians can complete the annual registration process entirely online. However, families who need access to the internet or a computer may visit a Sherman ISD campus for in-person registration assistance from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on any of the dates below.

All events are open to parents across the district. You do not need to visit the campus where your child attends school to receive assistance with the registration process.

STAAR Test Results Will Be Available This Summer

Our students were well prepared, and they did their best on STAAR tests over the past few weeks! You might be wondering when the results will be available.

Due to a redesign of the test, the Texas Education Agency says it will take a little longer than normal to get results back. You can expect to see results for End-of-Course Exams on June 30, and results for grades 3-8 on August 16. You can find more information here.
