Reminder: No School Monday

Don’t forget there is no school this Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

❄️ Snow Much Fun!

Students and their families built snowmen, went sledding, and made “snow” many memories during last week’s snow days. We loved seeing all the photos and videos shared with us on the Sherman ISD Facebook page!

January 9 and 10 will not need to be made up because the 2024-25 academic calendar will meet the state requirement for instructional minutes even with the missed school days.

Community Invited to Submit Nominations for Facility Naming

Sherman ISD is currently accepting nominations for the names of current and future facilities. The School Board may name facilities for a person; in honor of an historic event or place; a distinctive geographic location; or for a major donor.

While community members may submit nominations for a facility name at any time, nominations should be received by January 24, 2025 in order to be considered for the new elementary school opening next fall at Heritage Ranch.

Three very worthy names were submitted by community members for district facilities over the last few years and may be considered for the new elementary. A district committee will review any additional nominations received and present them for consideration to the School Board, in accordance with Board policy.
