Students Reflect on the Importance

of U.S. Constitution

For Celebrate Freedom Week last week, Sherman High School government classes discussed the U.S. Constitution, how our voting rights have evolved throughout history, and what it means to be an American citizen. All eligible 18-year-old students were then registered to become an active part of our democracy.

On Monday this week, the Grayson County Republican Women visited the middle schools and distributed booklets containing the Constitution and Declaration of Independence to all 8th graders. This is the second year of the group donating these booklets!
