Get Ready for the 2024-25 School Year!

Sherman ISD encourages new and current families to register online now for the 2024-25 school year. Parents and guardians of students returning to SISD schools are required to complete this process each year to make any needed updates or changes to their student’s information. In addition to the online form, proof of residency and any updated immunization records must be provided to the campus before the new school year begins on Wednesday, August 14.

The annual registration form can be completed entirely online, but opportunities for in-person assistance are available starting next week. See the full schedule below. All events will be held from 3:45 to 6 p.m. and are open to parents across the district. You do not need to visit the campus where your child attends school to receive assistance with the registration process.

Voting Underway in School Board Election

Early voting in the Sherman ISD School Board Election continues tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. Election Day is a week from Saturday. Polls will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, May 4.

Places 1 and 2 are on the ballot this year, with three candidates vying for each seat. Grayson College also has a $456.5 million bond election that would provide new facilities and infrastructure with no impact to the tax rate.

Sherman ISD voters may vote at any Grayson County polling site, including the two locations in Sherman: the SISD Service Center, 2701 N Loy Lake Road, and Grayson County Election Administration, 115 W. Houston Street.

Sherman ISD Celebrates National Volunteer Week

Sherman ISD appreciates the wide group of people in the Sherman community who give their time, money and support to our staff and students!

One such volunteer is Blume Cernero, junior at Austin College and Sherman High School graduate. This semester he began a volunteer group called Roo Buddies with other AC students at his former elementary campus, Sory Elementary School. Every week they meet with a group of 5th graders to offer support, promote positive behaviors, and most importantly be a friend.
