B² (Black Bear) benefitting Thrive was one of the first three Main Street Bears to be sold during the first 24 hours of the virtual auction for the "Buy Now" price of $10,000. The Friends of Downtown (non-profit responsible for events like The Bearfootin' Bear Auction and Rhythm & Brews as well as Covid Pivot Grants for small business and non-profits) will receive $1,500 and Thrive will receive $8,500. The auction, which began virtually on September 15th will culminate in a Countdown Celebration at The Historic Train Depot on Maple Street in Hendersonville on October 16th, 2021. B² was painted by local artist Betty Stebbins and sponsored by Bryan B² Byrd, Realtor with Keller Williams Mountain Partners.

B² Bear also made a special appearance to promote the kick-off to the Virtual Auction and to celebrate being SOLD.
