Dear Wildlife Enthusiast,

our Grizzly Bear Photo Safari to the Chilcotin region of BC was magical, and I wish you could have been there with us!

Seeing Grizzly Bears in the wild was one of those dreams I had put on the backburner. But when international travel restrictions created this great opportunity to travel locally, I grabbed it with both hands and am so chuffed I did!

I can happily report that we all returned home safely, with many wonderful memories and great photos, but more importantly – that everyone in our group is healthy and that all of our Covid-19 precautions paid off.

"I felt very relaxed and comfortable on this trip and would definitely join you again!" said Kathy B, one of our tour participants.
UPDATE: 5 Day Spirit Bear Safari - Sep 06, 2021

I am excited to show you this amazing, remote part of our country and prove that you can have the adventure of a lifetime right here in Canada!
We have fine-tuned our hosted 2021 SPIRIT BEAR SAFARI...

  • The safari is adjusted to 5 days.
  • It follows that the tour price has been reduced.
  • Dates are September 6 - 10, 2021
  • To keep our group small, we only have 5 spots available.
  • Our twin-share option for solo travellers saves the single supplement.
Join me on our 5 day small group Safari
hosted by yours truly.
What can you expect on this safari?
Some days could be spent in zodiacs, waiting patiently in one river system for wildlife to appear, while others could involve visiting several locations on foot, searching for the legendary Kermode Bear aka Spirit Bear in the Great Bear Rainforest.

Kitasoo Xai’xais culture is integrated into each day by spending time with local guides, visiting cultural sites, and learning the history of the Kitasoo/Xai’xais people.

How fit should I be for this Safari?
A reasonable level of mobility is required to walk along wildlife trails and to get in and out of the boats. (Personally, I will be starting an exercise regime next summer to prepare for this safari :)

What about the environment?
By joining this exclusive safari you will not only have a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience, but also support local conservation organizations and community based stewardship efforts.

Can my decision wait?
Normally this lodge is booked up years in advance, but due to current circumstances they have cancelled their international bookings, leaving us with this rare opportunity that I would like to share with you!
If you want to join me, make sure to reserve your spot today.

Book with Confidence
  • To reduce the risk of C-19, this safari will only be available to 5 Canadians.
  • A small, partially refundable deposit is required to hold your spot.
  • Should we be unable to travel next year due to C-19 restrictions, this safari will be delayed to 2022.

This Safari is limited to 5 participants.

Having visited Churchill myself I can confidently say that my Polar Bear Safari was one of the most memorable trips I've taken. Learning about life in our northern regions, seeing the Polar Bears and the Northern Lights was an experience I won't soon forget!

Travel Insurance Update:
One of the biggest obstacles to travelling again is / was the lack of insurance coverage, in case one becomes ill due to the pandemic. That has recently changed and I'm glad to share that we can now cover you for Covid-19.

The new C-19 Pandemic Travel Plan includes up to $200k for medical expenses incurred due to the virus, and trip interruption to cover unexpected quarantine in destination as well as additional hotels, meals and flights back home.
I'm heading overseas! Well, almost :)

In spite of current circumstances, I have so much to be thankful for, not the least of which is that my sister has recently moved to the west coast!
So this weekend I'm taking the ferry to Vancouver Island to join her for a Thanksgiving celebration. What a treat!

I am also very thankful for my trip to see the Grizzly Bears, and to be able to compile this newsletter and to share all the wonderful Canadian Bear experiences with you!

Wishing you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving! Stay well and take good care.

Yours in Travel,

Christine Boecker
