| | University of Virginia School of Law Roadmap Scholars Program | | |
The Roadmap Scholars Initiative provides both academic support and practical experience to undergraduate students interested in attending law school by exposing them to different aspects of the legal profession. The program’s goal is to prepare scholars to be competitive applicants to any of the nation’s top law schools.
College students apply to the program during their sophomore year. A strong preference is given to applicants who are first-generation college students, students with limited financial resources, and/or students who are interested in pursuing a legal career but lack access to opportunities to learn about law school, the admissions process, and the legal profession. Qualified applicants will be selected from a national pool. Ideal candidates will show a record of high academic achievement, convey a passion for being challenged as a learner, and demonstrate a commitment to community service.

Opportunity to Participate in Baylor Law's Practice Court Program
Over the next few weeks, Baylor Law Practice Court students will be conducting mini-trials, which require witnesses for direct and cross-examination. As future law students, the Baylor Law Student Affairs Office thought you might enjoy the opportunity to serve as witnesses and get a taste of what PC is all about - it is the most unique feature of the Baylor Law program! Trials start at 1 p.m. and time on the witness stand averages about 45 minutes, but you may be at the law school for 2-3 hours as you wait to be called. There are also a couple of hours of prep time required. If you would like to participate, please complete this form. PC students will contact you directly.
If you have any questions, please contact Director of Student Affairs Katherine Sims at katherine_sims@baylor.edu or 254-710-3239.
