Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus, part of a growing repentance remnant globally,
Other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, no one has expressed the Gift of Repentance better than Sister Basilea Schlink. When I first read her remarkable book, Repentance---the Joy-Filled Life, I believe I underlined virtually every sentence. Here, occasionally in bold by me as she continues to speak to me, is one of her prayers from her remarkable book, Repentance--the Joy-Filled Life (pp 60-61):
Dear Lord Jesus, I ask Thee for what I long to have in my life: Thy greatest gift of grace, repentance.
Send me by Thy grace the Spirit of truth that I may recognize myself in Thy light and see the depth of my sin. Help me through Thy Word that it may convict me as Thy standard for my thinking and speaking, for my ways and doing, for my work and actions. Keep me from applying my own cheap standards. Bind me to the measurement of the Sermon on the Mount that I may see myself as Thou doest see me, that I may judge myself as Thou wouldst judge me if I had not repented of my sin.
Give me through Thy Holy Spirit sensitivity to recognize in everything that happens to me especially in Thy chastening--Thy loving admonition to repentance, and that I may respond to it willingly.
Answer my prayer by giving me a broken heart, not one that is self-righteous and self-satisfied, but one that is always able to weep anew over its sins and is then able to rejoice for Thy forgiveness.
I thank Thee that Thou wilt surely answer this prayer, because Thou dost enjoy more than anything else a sinner who repents. Therefore, Thou doest require tears of repentance from us. I do not want to look on my hard impenitent heart but upon Thee, my Lord Jesus Christ, who came to destroy all self-righteousness and hardness of heart, and who has won us by His redemption a new heart that is soft and humble.
Make me continue in the prayer of faith until my hard heart has melted, and I am able to weep over the things I have done to God and to my fellow men. Give me the grace to weep over my old nature, over my hardness, lack of mercy and kindness, my evil speaking about others, my jealousy and envy, my insincerity, my dependence on human beings and the material things of this world. Bring about a complete change in me.
I thank Thee, O Lord, that Thou art calling for what I still do not have, repentance, and that by its coming my love for Thee will grow out of it. Let me this way---through the redeemed and happy life of a pardoned sinner---praise Thee here on earth and be prepared for Thy return, so that I might enter with Thee in glory to the Marriage of the Lamb. Amen.

To preserve our Liberty in Christ you and I have to put His Word into practice. The purpose of our latest repentance project is to do just that: to follow His Word so that He will apply His Solution to the catastrophic drought in the Western USA. He has allowed it so that we will repent and return to Him.
NDR has expanded its Ending Drought God's Way project to cover two new States: Arizona and New Mexico. You can join as an intercessor even if you're not a resident of California, Arizona and New Mexico. Please join us: www.endingdroughtgodsway.com
God bless you.

"The Gift of Repentance" a half hour TV program can be seen on kqsl.org Saturday mornings 9:30 Pacific. This was our recent show:
Do you see repentance as vital for our times? To our knowledge National Day of Repentance is the only Christian ministry focusing solely on personal and national repentance in every nation and applying it in our lives.
No church, no denomination supports us, only YOU! Though we work as volunteers, costs and requests for food pour in each day far beyond our capacity to fulfill these requests. Currently, five people support us monthly. Would you consider being the sixth? Our goal is to reach 100, even if it's only $10 per month. That would cover our costs.
Would you please pray for us? And then give from a cheerful heart as the Lord leads? THANK YOU--whatever the amount you give, you'll receive a blessing--- 2 Corinthians 8: 2-4 and Luke 8:3--- and Fruit that will abound to your spiritual account, Philippians 4:17.
