Help Needed on Rimrock Dr
Report from
Fire Chief Terry Keller
2-15-19
Wet Beaver Creek flooded last night & several homes along Rimrock Drive were hit hard. The Fire Dept. must have details because they rescued folks. Right now volunteers are needed to shovel debris out of homes. We'd appreciate any volunteer who can show up with shovels or rakes at homes near Rimrock Dr. and Tagalong (heading out toward the direction of the girls' school).

There were actually 17 rescues, with no reported injuries..  The locations were all along the vicinity of Rimrock Drive that parallels Wet Beaver Creek down by Sedona Sky Academy.  A drive through of this area, plus Sycamore Lane and Beaver Vista all revealed extensive damage in Lake Montezuma.  At this point, I have no reports of any injuries or missing individuals, thank God!

In Camp Verde, it appears Beaver Creek (Wet and Dry by this point) may have gotten into the houses that are lower along Pecan Lane.  We were assessing the Verde Lakes area at this time.  Also, I looked in the Quarter horse area, as well as McCracken Lane and did not see any evidence that the river had risen enough to get into any homes in those areas,  We still need to look at Horseshoe Bend.  The Marshals Offcie can probably provide the best updates...

More when/if we get it.  Crews are tired for sure at this point.
