Neighborhood Communications Tower Meeting
Monday, March 11, 6 PM
Beaver Creek Adult Center

This is the text of the letter copied below.  Due to technical issues it is not easy to read in the eNews.  We will post copies of the letter, map, and plot construction design which will be mailed to property owners within 1000 ft at Rimrock Resale bulletin board on Beaver Creek Rd, the LM Post Office, and the BCCA bulletin board in Rollins Park as weather permits.  The CCF&MD owns this parcel and currently has a small tower on it. Fire Chief Terry Keller will be at the meeting. The eNews will also email this information to subscribers upon request.

Paul Giovanni, Chief Technology Officer with MerIT Technology Partners, plans to submit an application to Yavapai County for the installation of a communications tower on behalf of the Copper Canyon Fire & Medical District at 3660 E Stardust Circle which is near or adjoining your property.  This tower will have communications equipment for the Fire District and Broadband equipment to provide Internet service to the area.

Based on very positive community input, it has been recommended that cell service be added to the tower.  This would require an increase to the tower height to eighty feet from the originally intended sixty feet height.  This will allow the tower to be a three-carrier cell tower and encourage use of it by carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint/T-Mobile.  Verizon, in particular, requires and eighty feet minimum height for their cellular transmissions.

I would like to invite you to meet Paul Giovanni of MerIT Technology Partners and to hear about their plans for this location.  This would be an informal meeting to give you the opportunity to review the proposed plans and to discuss the proposal with them.

The meeting will be held on March 11, at 6 PM, in the Beaver Creek Adult Center.

At this meeting MerIT Technology Partners will discuss the proposal and then discuss any concerns that you may have.  We encourage you to attend this meeting and to share your thoughts.  If you cannot attend, please feel free to contact me at 928-202-3999 or [email protected] and I will be glad to discuss the matter with you.  Additionally, you may send the comment sheet to the address below.
