Beaver Hollow & surrounding areas
April 9, 2021
Dear Neighbors

POBs (Pats on Back) to the Thunder Ridge POA members and friends who cleaned up the first mile of Beaver Creek Rd last week. Looks like they have started off our annual spring cleaning and hope that others continue it. Our lower 80’s weather continues through Monday and then drops off to the 70’s. It is predicted to get windy again starting on Monday.

Long time eNews reader and contributor Richard Casmier has sent us a LOL YouTube video of the 10 worst places to live in AZ. Lake Montezuma, Spring Valley and Paulden are among the chosen worst! (The Calendar Crew may need to get T-shirts celebrating our award.) Who knew we had it so bad? Enjoy and thank you, Richard.

Changing topics to Quality of Life which the youtuber above doesn’t understand, Yavapai County would still like to hear from more of us about what we consider important values for our community. If you haven’t taken the survey, please consider doing so and making your voice count.

Saturday morning is the monthly food bank drive-thru at Beaver Creek School. Next Thursday is the food share drive-thru in the parking lot behind the Rimrock Post Offices. By the time April ends, we will have had 5 opportunities for free food locally. Yahooo!!! Bread of Life is sponsoring 4 of the food events and has just purchased the former Barefoot’s Store on Beaver Creek Rd. That organization has plans to provide free and low-cost food items and will be serving cooked meals in the future.

Kate Watters, Agave Maria Botanicals & Wildheartfarmaz will speak about her Rimrock minifarm and flower designs at the first outdoor meeting of BCCA on Monday. On Friday, the Beaver Creek Parrotheads return to perform in Rollins Park to benefit the BC Adult Center. Next Saturday is the monthly smart device assistance at the Adult Center. If the economic stimulus check brought a new smart device into your life, help is available.
