Dear Neighbors

Welcome to another great week of spring-like winter weather with highs in the low sixties. Parts of our country are experiencing extreme cold, snow and ice. We wish them a quick passing of the worst and are glad that it’s not our turn in the barrel. The crack sealing contractor got a little behind during our snowfall in the Verde Valley. They are planning to continue through Friday with the project on Beaver Creek Rd.

Currently there are two fundraising projects finishing this week. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the last day to purchase tickets for the PTO drawing.  The list of donated prizes is below. The last day to purchase a gift basket from LMWCC for scholarships is this Friday at noon. Their information is also below. These two projects address great needs in our community. If you have the opportunity to get out and about soon, please consider these fundraisers.

February 22 is the last day to nominate or apply to be a board member for the Beaver Creek Adult Center (BCAC). They need a couple new board members. Voting for new board members will be done in the first week of March. BCAC will NOT have an in-person annual meeting in March. Everything will be done with documentation in the Center or by email. People need to be a member to vote and dues are due by the last day of February.

During our pandemic time of disconnection, the Yavapai County Free Library District has been there for us. Our local branch is the Beaver Creek Library and the next closest is the Camp Verde Library, both of which provide more than 40 hours weekly of in-person service but are available 24/7 online. Your library card also provides you online or in-person access to the materials at all the Yavapai County libraries including that of Yavapai College. Part of the college library newsletter is below to spike your interest.
