October 9, 2017

Dear Neighbors

Thanks to the more abundant rainfall this year, there was a bumper crop of small rodents, insects and birds.  Our roadrunner friend was so happy about the food in his territory, he defended it against his own reflection in a window.

This week the Rimrockers, BC Community Association, BC Kiwanis, LM Women's Civic Club, and BC Preservation & Historical Society all have meetings which everyone is invited to attend. LMWCC has a very tasty looking menu planned for Tuesday. A lovely poster for the meal is in the regularly scheduled section.

Don't forget that on Wednesday is a terrific opportunity to get a free flu shot at the Fire Station in the morning or at the Adult Center in the afternoon.  Also on Wednesday is the first of several guided hikes on Wickiup Mesa.

The monthly food bank distribution is scheduled for this Saturday. Since the Cornville food bank has closed, this may be a good option to check out if you haven't already visited.  The Rimrock Farmer's Market will not return until spring, but the Saturday Flea Market is continuing at the Honey Hole.  The historic rock school on the BC School campus is open every Saturday.

In the following week, the BC Trails Coalition, the fire district governing boards and Friends of BC Library meet.

Most of the clubs and organizations are planning public events in the near future. In addition it's the perfect hiking and walking season. Our surrounding communities, towns and cities are also preparing events for this wonderful fall season.
