Yes, it's almost time to be in Beaver Lake.
How do we know,
you ask?
We spotted the Beaver band practicing
for our season opening celebration in June,
brought to you by Alan Hirsch our

How a lake path comes to life: A 10-year journey
almost 10 years ago – the dream is voiced
- Then-President Adam appoints Harry as the “Enhancement Lead” of Beaver Lake.
- Adam shares a personal and widely held dream: a walking path around the lake.
- Harry investigates...he and his friend, Paul, trek through muck, mud, shrubs and over rocks…
- …returns and declares it impossible. The idea is shelved.
fast forward to last year – A Shabbos surprise
- During a Shabbos kiddush, a group of guys casually chat about that same old dream.
- Harry wanders over, amused they’re still talking about the lake path.
- Sensing opportunity, Brian Sigman challenges Harry - now president, to finally make it happen.
- Brian sweetens the challenge: he and Baily will donate substantial seed money if it happens.
- Harry, who never turns down a donation, accepts on the spot - and does what wise leaders do best:
- He delegates.
- Rivky steps up to take the lead, committed to fulfilling her husband, Adam’s, long-held dream.
- She forms the Lake Trail Committee, joined by Roz Plaut
a new reality – the tools to succeed
- Unlike 10 years ago, Beaver Lake now owns serious equipment: An excavator, a front end loader, a heavy truck
- And even better: Billy, an expert equipment operator, joins the mission.
Project Lake Path – a team effort
- Harry, recognizing this new reality, re-engages - not as a skeptic, but as Project Manager.
- He plots the route, coordinates resources, works side by side with Billy and the trail committee team.
- In just 11 months since that fateful kiddush, the impossible becomes reality - almost two miles worth.
