Balancing the realities of our physical and recreational structure with heightened security concerns is Koby Stern. Koby is heading a committee for determining the proper course and action to enhance our physical security and protocols.

Thank you Koby.

Working with Harry, Koby has engaged with a professional consulting group that specifically was put in place to support Jewish communities such as ours.

The mission of the CSI’s Security Awareness and Active Threat Response training is to help institutions understand the current threat landscape regionally, nationally, and locally.

SEMINAR... MONDAY, JUNE 30th at 4:15pm at the Casino

The seminar will also discuss best practices for security procedures, awareness, and threat analysis, including key indicators of potential malicious intent. Finally, the training touches on what to do in the event of a serious emergency, and how to plan without sacrificing the mission of your institution. This is typically followed by site specific discussion and Q&A.

The presentation will be given by Pat Regan, CSI’s Regional Security Director for the Greater Hudson Valley since 2022. He is a 35 year NY State Police veteran having served as the agency’s Field Commander in charge of all day to day operations and special units in the 5,000 sworn member force. He has also held operational command ranks at every level, including Captain in Sullivan County, and Major in Troop “F”, which includes Sullivan County.

Everyone is encouraged to attend

Another amazing summer at Beaver Lake Day Camp! The team, under the leadership of our Camp Director Yael Elias, has been working hard to create a fun, meaningful, and unforgettable experience for our campers. While staffing has been more challenging this year due to the war, the team has come together with strength and heart - and can’t wait to get started.

A special thank you to our camp committee chair and board member, Amy Zide, for her constant support of Yael and for helping make this our best summer yet.
