With your help, we collected over 5,000 pairs of socks!

THANK YOU to everyone who participated with us in the Biden-Harris Inauguration Day of Service last month and our Holiday Sock Drive. With your help, we donated over 5,000 pairs of socks for adults, youth, and babies to Kingsley House, Hagar's House, and Ozanam Inn. Special thanks to the Biden-Harris Inauguration Team for including us, Silky's Bar for hosting us, Papa John's Pizza for serving as a collection site, all of our volunteers who collected and sorted socks with us, and all of you who made this possible with your generous donations. Special, special thanks to Leggie Lumpkins for creating this idea, organizing it, and seeing it through to the end. (That's her adorable baby up top in the sunglasses.)

  • Next Wednesday, February 10, the House & Senate Natural Resources Committees will meet in a joint session to discuss President BIDEN'S action halting oil and gas leasing. I will attend as a member of the committee. You can watch the hearing live at that link.
  • Saturday Feb 6 I'll be hosting an online "Progressives Power Session" with Congressional candidate Karen Carter Peterson - sign up here.
  • If you want a yard sign for KCP, I have some on my front porch.
  • Wear. A. Mask! Louisiana lost 1,000 residents to covid in the last 3 weeks.
