In the last two weeks, we have shared e-blasts dedicated to Achieve Brown County's budget and financial needs in 2025 (View it here) and stories of system change impact (view it here), and we said we would send out additional weekly updates featuring progress and stories of what makes our work possible.

This week, we are focused on narrowing in on one of our three pillars of work – partnership advancement. In the following two weeks, we will narrow in on our data work and collaborative action work.

What Partnership Advancement Looks Like in 2025

This year, we’re building new infrastructure for stronger partnerships and deeper collaboration:

1. Policy Roundtables

We’re convening elected leaders, providers, and families to tackle urgent issues—like childcare, K-12 school funding, and early literacy. These conversations are the groundwork for policy that reflects lived experience and local expertise. 

“Too often, when the word policy comes up, it's quickly followed by politics. But at Achieve Brown County, we approach policy from a different angle—through connection rather than division.”

2. Community Council (coming soon)

Our Collective Impact Partnership is expanding from a board of directors to also include a Community Council.

The focus of the Community Council is community voice, shared power and representation. For change to occur in our community, it is crucial to include parents, youth, residents and organizational leaders in conversations that occur across community sectors.

3. Parent Advocates Group (launch on hold)

In 2025, we planned to launch a space where parents and caregivers can lead and shape community change—not just be impacted by it. This initiative was planned to launch this year but is currently frozen due to funding.

4. Training and Education

We’re onboarding new partners and educating our community with offerings on topics like systems change, collective impact and more ensuring everyone in the Partnership is equipped and aligned.

Partnership Advancement is more than just collaboration. It’s shared power, aligned effort, and long-term impact. When partners are engaged, systems move. When they’re not, progress stalls.
