There’s been a deeply disturbing upsurge in anti-Semitism in the United States and around the globe as we've just seen with Congregation Beth Israel in Texas. Simultaneously, we continue to witness the depth and pervasiveness of anti-Black racism in American society. As each group fights back, it becomes very clear: racism and anti-Semitism need not be separate struggles. How do we identify common ground?

It looks at the unsettling desires of two difficult men, and at the ethics of biography. Be a volunteer with SAC at one or two food banks in February. Together we’ll assemble boxes of produce for distribution. The Berkeley food bank is located indoors in a big space with high ceilings and good ventilation. The SF food bank popup is outdoors.

Judaism 101 is an introduction to Judaism for people who are new or returning to Judaism and are looking for a starting point to dive into Jewish learning and/or Jewish practice. Anyone from any background is welcome. We will be covering everything from Torah to Israel, spirituality to ethics, through a queer-positive, progressive, inclusive Jewish lens with plenty of room for questions. Caring for the Caregivers

This group provides a place for family caregivers to get support and hear from other caregivers. It is moderated by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is open to caregivers who are caring for older adults or adults with disabilities. 12-Step Meetings by and for Sha’ar Zahav Members

Come listen and share experience, strength, and hope with other CSZ members who identify as part of any 12-step community (AA, NA, CMA, Alanon, SA, etc.).
