Become a National CCAA Member Institution
August 2020

On behalf of the Board of Directors, greetings from the National Catholic College Admission Association (National CCAA). Our member institutions are part of a dynamic, international organization that reaches thousands of students and counselors each year in person, online, and around the world.

As President of the National CCAA, I am asking you to consider joining our membership to benefit from the growing influence of the National CCAA. As we all continue to readjust our recruitment plans due to the “new normal,” the support that the National CCAA provides is needed more than ever, especially in regards to student and counselor outreach. For this membership cycle, we have altered our benefits to reflect your changing recruitment plans and help promote your institution, as well as Catholic higher education. We are pleased that the membership dues have remained the same for eleven years. With the value of the membership benefits listed below, membership dues are worth your institution’s investment.

Here is a brief explanation of our 2020-21 membership benefits:

  • Our redesigned website, catholiccollegesonline.org, continues to be one of the top go-to sites for Catholic college information among students, parents, and counselors, with over 32,500 visitors in the past year (a 48% increase over the previous year). Prospective students are able to search for your institution and submit inquiry requests for each member.

  • The National CCAA Scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 scholarship for students who matriculate to one of our member institutions as first-year and transfer students. We received over 4,600 applications for this year’s National CCAA Scholarship (a 144% increase over the previous year), thus increasing promotion of member schools. During this past membership cycle, 16 students from around the world were awarded scholarships and will be attending one of our member institutions.

  • Virtual college fairs featuring only our members—Catholic colleges and universities—will be offered in late September and late October. Registration for these fairs is required, but participation is part of your membership fee. We are partnering with Brazen to offer these fairs. All participating schools can invite their prospective students to participate. During the fairs, we will also offer presentations about college admission topics, such as financial aid and the value of Catholic higher education, and will be seeking presenters from our membership base.

After these two college fairs take place, we may offer additional college
fairs focusing on more specific areas, such as international students or
domestic regions.

  • Voluntary data and real-time information sharing, along with regular virtual communication outlets with other National CCAA members throughout the academic year, will allow members to network with each other and stay informed of trends happening during the admission cycle.

  • Regular outreach to secondary and independent counselors with virtual Counselor Town Hall sessions and counselor newsletters. We currently have over 5,000 counselors from all over the world in our database, and we plan to extend invites and send newsletters to all of these counselors.

National CCAA members will have the opportunity to participate in both
Town Hall sessions and newsletters, which is a great way to connect with
counselors, engage in professional development, and promote your
institution. Here is the first counselor newsletter that was sent
to counselors in late July.

Click here to complete the membership form. Please note that the September and October virtual college fairs will likely fill up quickly. Spaces will be given on a first come, first served basis and are not guaranteed. For the best chance of participating in these fairs, we recommend submitting your membership form by August 15. We cannot guarantee fair participation for institutions submitting their membership forms after September 1.

I know that budgets are being cut and difficult decisions are being made, but I hope you will consider the positive impact your membership will have for your institution and recruitment goals. The Board of Directors and I are here to support all of our members through these uneasy times. As enrollment leaders at Catholic colleges and universities, it is part of our mission to serve and guide others, as well as promote our member institutions that offer so many opportunities (educational, social, emotional, financial) that students truly need.

Please let me or our Executive Director, Joyce Masek, know if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Tracy Manier
