Paralegals are a vital part of any legal team.

Are you considering a career as a paralegal? This could be a good time to make your move into this field. According to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, paralegals earned a median annual wage of about $61,000 in 2024, and demand for this job is expected to grow over the next decade.

The Paralegal Studies (PLS) Certificate Program at Cal State LA Downtown has been American Bar Association (ABA) approved since 1978, making it one of the earliest approved programs in a university setting in California. The program curriculum is designed to equip students with a strong foundation of legal knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to a variety of practical tasks required of the profession.

Classes begin in January 2026!
