ALUMNI MENTOR & JOB SHADOWING HOST APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

A new academic year means new opportunities for making career connections. As one of our esteemed partners, we invite you to participate in our 2024-2025 signature programs, including:

  • Our Job Shadowing Experience, which offers all employers and alumni an opportunity to host Suffolk students in a firsthand professional experience.

If you are interested in one or both of these programs, continue reading for more info!

As a RAMP mentor, you will have the opportunity to work with an undergraduate or graduate student through a five-month, one-to-one partnership. Alumni mentors provide a trusted and experienced perspective, offering advice related to career development, education, and life in general.

Interested mentors must submit a RAMP Mentor application by November 1, 2024. As a part of your application, you will be asked to select a Career Community that best fits your interests and experience. Your mentee will be matched with you based on this information.

"I feel like I was paired perfectly with my mentee, who is an amazingly capable, coachable joy to work with. I was able to expand his networking opportunities, and we are in the process of exploring internship possibilities.

We met both in person and on Zoom and had great conversations. I learned from his perspectives, studies, activities, and South African background."

— RAMP Mentor Mike Dwyer, Founder, Emplana Career

"It was an absolute pleasure to host a Suffolk student at the Gardner Museum for this job shadowing experience. The afternoon was full of important discussions about art institutions and all the considerations that go into creating exhibitions that are accessible and relevant to the public. The best part of the experience was getting to explore our special exhibition together and hear the student’s perspectives on the paintings."

— Job Shadowing Host Rachel DeLuca, Academic Programs Manager, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
