Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 19! UATP is hosting Assistive Technology Space Adventure: Gadget Galaxy at the Sorenson Unity Center in SLC from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Register for the event and stay updated at UATP Gadget Galaxy website.


Our free and family-friendly event will feature expo booths of assistive technology and disability resources, space-themed art projects and science demonstrations.

Changes Coming to Air Travel for Wheelchair Users


I was reading this month’s newsletter from The World is Accessible and ran across an article titled "United Airlines To Launch Industry-First Travel Tool For Wheelchair Users." It is a great read, but here's an overview of it. United Airlines New Digital Flight Filter is a tool on their website. It is intended to make the travel experience easier for passengers who rely on wheelchairs, especially larger, more complex wheelchairs.

Repairing Wheels and Strengthening Community in Uintah Basin


Communities working together can truly bring about meaningful change.


The Uintah Basin location of the Utah Assistive Technology Program recently teamed up with the North Eastern Services (NES) transition group to repair a member’s wheelchair. The individual, who has a brain and neurological condition, had worn down his wheelchair, frequently breaking off armrests and other components.

Hannah works as the multimedia technician for UATP. She is a proud USU grad who has spent time living all over the world, but Cache Valley may be her favorite place. She loves seeing the excitement on peoples' faces when they find resources and AT they have never heard of before.

  • Visit the CARE Fair for routine medical, dental, and vision services along with community assistance information June 27th and 28th at Horizonte Instruction and Learning Center.
  • Join the Community for Human Innovation channel and Discord for updates on future meetings.
