BECOME A VOLUNTEER TUTOR IN 2026

YOU can be the difference in the life of an adult or child by becoming a volunteer literacy tutor at Project READ. Volunteer tutors work one-on-one for just a few hours a week in a supportive environment, helping learners attain their personal literacy and learning goals. Tutoring sessions are individualized and designed around learners’ specific literacy and learning styles. Most tutoring happens onsite at Project READ, with hybrid options available.

NEWS FROM THE FOUNDATION

There’s still time to boost your charitable deductions for your 2025 taxes—and make a meaningful difference. A gift to Redwood City Library Foundation this month not only supports your tax planning but also fuels essential library programs like Bridging the Digital Divide, Brainfuse, Makerspace, the Summer Learning Challenge and more.

Choose the way to give that works best for you:

• DONATE any amount to keep key library initiatives strong.

• Purchase a gift from the Makerspace WISH LIST to directly support hands-on creativity.

• Honor someone special or celebrate a milestone with a tribute gift (include the honoree’s details at online checkout).

• Donate your used vehicle to benefit the library.

And if you’d like your impact to continue all year, consider setting up a monthly contribution or even a legacy gift through your estate. Your support today helps shape the library’s tomorrow.
